Who are ORA Prep courses for?
ORA Prep courses are primarily aimed at students who are thinking of applying to university, and who want to learn more about the subject they’re thinking of applying for, either to get a flavour of what the subject might be like, or to expand their knowledge of that subject.
What is an Interactive Course?
An Interactive course is a course that runs entirely at the pace of the user, consisting of high-quality audio lectures and engaging multimedia.
What is a University Preparation Programme?
A Programme is a series of interactive courses on similar topics supplemented with additional live tuition sessions. Each live session is focused on discussing a written assessment students will submit to their tutor, based on one of the topics covered in the interactive tutorials. These are our most in-depth educational packages and are recommended to those aiming to progress to a high level quickly.
I’m not applying to university, can I still take a course?
Yes! Whilst ORA Prep courses are geared towards students applying to university, they are of course open to anyone and everyone with a passion for learning.
Can I take more than one course?
Yes, you can take as many courses as you like. Once you have an account after enrolling on your first course, you will be able to view and enroll on any other course from within your learning profile.
Can I take my course more than once?
Yes, you can go back over your course as many times as you like until your course expires (within 30 days of the date of enrollment). You will be notified of your expiry date and will be reminded of this leading up to the expiry of your course.
OK, I’ve enrolled on a course, what happens now?
Once you’ve enrolled on your course, you will receive an email with your login details for our learning portal, and a link to take you there. Once there, your course will be ready and waiting for you!
OK, I’ve enrolled on a programme, what happens now?
Once you’ve enrolled on your programme, you will receive an email with your login details for our learning portal, and a link to take you there. You’ll be able to get started on your interactive tutorials straight away. In the meantime, one of our team will be in touch to arrange your live tutorial sessions.
How long do my login details last for?
A 4-tutorial course will be available for 30 days after the initial purchase, and an 8-tutorial course will be available for 60 days. You will be sent reminders of how many days you have left to complete your course. Once this period of days is up, your profile and certificate will be available for a further 15 days. If you choose to enrol on another course within this period, then your account will be renewed and the process will start again. If not, then your account will be terminated (though you will be able to set it up again with the same details if you choose to enrol on a course at a later date). For more information, see our Terms and Conditions. For our programmes, your details will last until 30 days after the final live tutorial.
Do I get a certificate for completing my course?
Yes, you will receive a certificate upon successful completion of the course. This certificate will be graded with the score from your final exam, so make sure to revise thoroughly first! Programmes students receive a more detailed graded certificate, and a report from their tutor.
My course isn’t working properly, help!

Can I view my course on my ipad or mobile device?
All of our courses are fully compatible on ipads using the Articulate ipad app. Whilst much of our course content is accessible on Android tablets and other devices, there may be some loss of functionality.
What do you mean by ‘interactive’?
Our courses are fully interactive, which means that you are able to interact with course content: e.g. by exploring images, videos, maps, timelines, graphics and much much more! There are also interactive quizzes and exercises at various points throughout all courses, to keep you on your toes.
Do you have deals for teachers and schools?
If you are a school or teacher interested in using our courses as part of a teaching programme, please get in touch via the Contact Us page and we will do our best to accommodate your needs. We are able to offer a bulk discount for the purchasing of many licenses of several courses, so please do get in touch with us.
What is a ‘tutorial’?
‘Tutorials’ are what we call the individual lessons that make up our courses. See our What’s Included page for a more detailed breakdown.
What are ‘activities’?
A key feature of the interactive presentations are the quizzes and activities that appear throughout, designed to test your knowledge and check that you’re following the key points of the lecture. Some of these are short interactive quizzes that can be completed on the screen, others are longer activities requiring you to write an answer in your notepad and compare them with the model answers provided.
Are there any exams?
Yes – at the end of every tutorial is an exam to complete based on the information learned in the preceding lecture. A typical exam consists of 10 questions. At the end of the course there is a final exam which typically consists of 25 questions which must be completed within 15 minutes. This final exam can be taken a maximum of three times, and the score will be marked on your course certificate.
I can’t find a course for my subject, can you help?
Yes! You can register your interest in taking a particular course by filling in the form on the “contact us” page.
